The Sounds of the 7th was a great success! Many came to enjoy an evening with family and friends listening to acoustic music performed live by Richmond-area artists atSounds of the 7th, Saturday, May 15, in Maidens, VA.
The Goochland Democratic Committee (GDC) hosted the Sounds of the 7th fundraiserfrom 4 to 8 p.m., May 15, at Adams International School's Big Red Barn, 1655 Broad Street Road, Maidens, VA 23102.
Gene Rossi was the MC for the concert event with performances by Acoustic Wheelhouse, Justin Golden and Doug Mock
Beer, wine, lemonade, water and food were available for sale.
Seating was limited in the tent-covered patio and barn, according to the Governor's guidelines for a concert venue. Attendees brought blankets and chairs to sit on the lawn. Masks also were required.
Tickets were $35 per person. Children age 10 and under were free. Sponsorship and package tickets could also be purchased
Abigail Spanberger (D), 7th District Congresswoman, was at the event, along with Democratic candidates Caitlin Coakley and Blakely Lockhart, running to represent the 65th and 56th districts in Virginia's House of Delegates. Several statewide candidates will also be there. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit GDC efforts.
